I started the modeling of this character in Maya last year, I used it for a job where close ups were not necessary. After a while I decided to go back to it.
I imported it in 3Dsmax and started working on a closeup render. I added a bit more details and use Vray+Vrayfur for the render. 
Then imported the passes into photoshop to do the final compositing and draw some fine details to make it look uneven.
